Books
It was a book, FIMO FOLK. published by Hot Off The Press in 1992, which first brought widespread recognition to Minnesota sculptor Maureen Carlson.

Since then Maureen has written 4 more books for Hot Off The Press, 2 for Design Originals and 5 for North Light Books.  All of Maureen's books are instructional manuals for working with polymer clay, though some of the books include stories and Maureen's personal slant on life in general.

See the whole collection here.  Some of the books are no longer in print, but are available on the secondary market.

See the whole collection of Maureen Carlson push molds which were licensed to American Art Clay Company, Inc. under the names What a Character Push Molds and Designer Push Molds.

Each card features a Pippsywoggin and its story in either a watercolor painting or a photograph.

Instructional Videos
There are only a few of Maureen's original polymer clay how-to videos available for purchase.  They had a good long run on the polymer clay related market, but now it's time for new ones!

And they're in the works.  So stay tuned.

In the meantime, check out the polymer clay classics that we still have in stock, under the Miscellaneous category.

  Gallery
From 1979 until 1991, the place to purchase originals by Maureen Carlson was the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.  Then there was a long dry spell, while Maureen concentrated on books, videos and teaching, where no one-of-kinds were available for sale.

Now things are coming full circle and Maureen is again offering some of her work for sale.  Currently we only have a few pieces, but expect to see more in the near future.
