Maureen asked me one day, "Why don't you make some garden sculptures.  It would look great in our garden."
The Jordan Art Festival was coming up in June, so I decided to try my hand at art in the iron format.

Since I was already making stepping stones, I included a stone to hold my art up in the garden.
These are the ones that I designed.  I will not be making more in the future.  So get them while they are still available.

Let me tell you about the heron on the left in the picture.  I used the gears from an old electric hand drill to move the boy's hat about 1/4" when the wind blows.  It's enough to uncover his white eyes under his hat. I call the sculpture "The Night Rider".  I had fun at the Jordan Art Festival showing the kids, and adults.  Most couldn't see the eyes right off the bat until I pointed them out.... Surprised looks all over.  I'm going to make more movable sulptures in the future because of the fun and challenge.....endless possibilities!  I have people who are donating more gears etc to work with.  They love the idea of it all.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.  Any donations of any old moveable gears or unique items you have laying around would be appreciated.

 garden_heron $200.00 Made from iron, aluminum, and rebar welded. approx. 3-4 feet tall, including a kid riding him and holding a wind speed indicator which revolves with the wind.  The stone says "May you always ride with the wind".  Or you may ask for a different stone.  The fee depends on the difficulty.
