Create The Mad Hatter
2013 marks the 15th year that Diane has taught at
Maureen's. Each year Diane brings a new challenge to students who
enjoy the art of creating realistic yet romantic characters from
polymer clay.
This year's project is the Mad Hatter. This mixed
media character is perfect for both the sculptor and the seamstress,
or those of us who are wannabes!
Create a Mad Hatter complete with polymer clay hands,
face, feet and jointed limbs. Then make his costume, string
him, and become a puppeteer. Just like that!
It will take 4 days, but, combine it with laughter,
serious instruction, creative help and patient teaching, and it will
happen.
Come prepared to work hard and to imagine your
creation, and yourself, into wonderland.
