IN THE PLANNING STAGE: A Picture Book of Pip Stories

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE STORIES.

Every grandmother (of which I am one) knows this to be true.  It is through stories that we share our history, our celebrations, our grief and our hopes for the future.  Some stories, such as those about what we ate today or how much the new car cost, may be factually true.  While others, which explain how we feel or what we dream, may use imagination in order to tell the tale.  But, whether they are factual or imaginative, stories are an important part of our lives.

 A BRIEF HISTORY

This is true of the Pippsywoggins, too, those whimsical wee folk who come from the Edge of Imagination.  My relationship with the Pips began with a little clay sculpture, which, though created by me, seemed to look up and beg for a story.  Through the magic of imagination, I found myself being drawn into their world.  I searched for the right words and the right moods with which to tell their tales.  Through the writing and recording of these stories, I came to understand how much we humans have in common with these diminutive elf-like people, and how much their stories have to teach us, as well.  Now I am delighted to be able to share their stories with you (with their permission, of course).

 INDIVIDUAL STORIES

Each of the Pips has its own story, which comes in a tiny booklet which accompanies each Pippsywoggins sculpture.  You can also read the stories, as well as the general of the Pippsywoggins, by clicking on the story links on both the , or the .   Greeting cards which feature each of the Pips and their stories are in the "creating" stage.

More Stories are planned for the future
