Lyrics of Blue Times Two
Well I've been doing some thinking and some
rithmetic too
I've been
counting all the things lately, that have made me blue
The numbers don't lie, this I know to be true
But I could sure use some happiness, because I'm long
over due
My boss man just told me "don't come around here to
work anymore
Tough times
have forced me to close this old factory door
I wish I could help you, but there is nothing, nothing
I can do
I've got my own
set of problems and I'm blue just like you
So after losing my house and
both of my farms
I
slipped on the ice and I broke both of my arms
Now I have to borrow from friends and I'm forced to
beg
And I think I'm
getting arthritis in my only good leg
Ya know...I'm due for some
happiness, hell, I'm way overdue
But it never seems to happen and I'm still bluer than
blue
Then my girl up and left me for some other guy
I knew it was coming because I knew why
And my old dog ran away, yeah, she left me too
I get the feeling they were both blue times two
Then my old truck started to
rattle, it coughed and then wheezed
And in less than three seconds that old engine had
seized
Coincidence I
thought, well that may be true
But I'm willing to bet that old Chevy was blue times
two
Now after sitting up all night thinking and doing some
rithmetic too
Counting
all that has happened, that has left me so dang blue
The sun has risen and I'm still, still not through
Just sitting here alone with my thoughts and blue
times two
Ya know...I'm due for some happiness, hell, I'm way
overdue
But it never
seems to happen and I'm still bluer than blue
I wish I could be happy, I'm
so long overdue
But
until that miracle happens
I'll be blue times two
Blue times two, bluer than blue
Until that miracle happens,
I'll be blue times two.
