Lyrics of The Wanderer XIII
The Sun had risen
Chasing the dark
As the day
started
I went to the park
Slowly I walked breathing
the
shimmering air
And for a moment
I hadn't a care
It was spring and
everything
Was just starting to grow
Getting plenty to drink
From the
melting snow
Looking around, I thought
Could this really be
The
beauty of nature
Was something to see.
Every thread of nature held in
it's place
With help from the strands of things that are living
Like a
beautiful tapestry hanging from the sky
To take it all in simply made me feel
high
When suddenly out of the blue, there he was
A man in black with a
hood on his head
Sprawled on a park bench, not moving an inch.
I thought,
I thought he was dead
Then he awoke and to my surprise
There was
lightning in both of his eyes
He tried to stand up but he was much too weak
Then opened his mouth to try and speak
I have a quote from Genesis that
should be read
I want to share it with you This is what he said
"In the
beginning there was nothingness and God but waived His hand
And from the void
there sprang the beauty of the land
And high above the canyon walls the
diamond stars were new
And breezes blew from nothingness and herbs and
grasses grew
The silent creatures roamed the earth and multiplied their kind
And man was a molecule that God left behind"
Now the air we breathe is
poisoned
From emissions, and every factory stack
And the exhaust from
fossil burning machines
On the long highway, oh so black
The river of
life flowing since creation
Now a polluted disgusting disgrace
Heading to
the sea with each new generation
Sickening the whole human race
A fact
of life for nature indeed
Clean air and water to grow
Though God's
creatures cannot speak
Some how this they know
If man were to ruin these
things
These things that they need
It will most likely cost him his life
Just to pay for his greed
I am a spirit destined forever, forever to roam
The earth is my ultra dimensional universal home
I'm planning a very long
journey
To turn all that is wrong in the world into what's right
Would
you like to come with me?
I am leaving here tonight
Then his voice
crackled and faded
As he disappeared, disappeared out of sight
I
thought for a moment, could this really be?
Had I spoken to a shadow that was
an entity?
Could it mean that by meeting, meeting my old friend?
That I
too was destined to be wandering wandering
Wandering again
