Lyrics of The Weeds

The weeds are coming
The weeds are coming
Yes they are. The weeds are coming
Oh nooooooooo!

They come out of nowhere like bushels of beads
A wide variety of nasty seeds
Please help me oh Lord help me please
My whole back yard is a field of weeds

Crab grass and blowballs
Harass the Kentucky Blue
And Charlie is creeping around there too
The flowers on the table I had to buy
Cause there's none in my garden
No need to ask why

I really really yes I do
I really want to stop feeling blue. Oh yeh.
Don't want to be fearful going out my back door
After all, what is a back door for?

My place to meditate
Where I feel at ease
Has now become a jungle of weeds

I can't take it another day
Nothing seems to be going my way

I gave it some thought
My choices were rough
But came to the conclusion
I had enough

So I got out my mower my shears and some spray
And waged war on those weeds
The whole next day

Hacking and mowing and spraying all around
Until nothing was left except for the ground

Pleased as could be I felt I'd done right
Tired and sleepy I laid down for the night
Unaware while dreaming the weeds were not dead
As they crept into my room and stole me from my bed
Then planted me outside in the soil right up to my head

They laughed and grinned as they all taunted
"Now you can see first hand what it's like to not be wanted"

This was not a dream
It was a wicked nightmare
I had become a victim
Of my own lawn care

The weeds are coming, yes they are!
The weeds are coming, oh yes they are!
The weeds are coming
The weeds are coming
Oh noooooooooooooo!
